The Team

BHN was formed in 2012 by a group of Canadian volunteers who had either been to India or been touched by the stories of those visiting India.

The society started with the basic concept of providing basic human needs to the marginalized street children in India. The concept caught on through the sharing of stories--the generosity of others was able to provide so much tangible support for these children, to advance their education and offer alternatives to lives on the street.

Since that time the society has focused on how to share its vision and raise money to support its purposes.

The Board members of BHN wish to acknowledge that supporting the activities on the ground in Varanasi is only made possible by the in-kind service of amazing volunteers and all of the generous donors who continue to support this project.
